Il Mare

by , in

I am a frequent visitor of Crunchyroll because I both love movies and animes. Two nights ago, I watched Il Mare. Got interested with this movie  when I found out that it is quite the same with the Lakehouse. I borrowed a VCD of the Lakehouse before but wasn't able to see it because I got busy with our thesis. So I was thinking this is a good substitute and I also read a lot of good comments from the internet about the movie and even from my friends.

Anyways, the lead role for this movie is Jun Ji-hyun (from My Sassy Girl and Windstruck). So basing from those two good movies I was really expecting that this one is also great. But I was wrong, the entire scene was all draggy and I am not satisfied with the ending. Though, it was a happy ending but I am stil looking for something. They shouldn't have focused more on the scenes on the writing of letters but on the time when they will meet or after they have met.

Mario Cimarro in El Cuerpo del Deseo

by , in

El Cuerpo del Deseo (Body of Desire) is something that makes our afternoon viewing a lot of fun. Me and my neighbors are always excited when it is already El Cuerpo del Deseo. You know, the story line is absolutely great and I love Mario Cimarro! He is just so handsome and so macho! I love you Mario, I love you! Hehhehehee...I am your huge fan kahit noong Gata Salvaje at Passion de Amor days pa.

Story:
It is about a man who come back from the dead and discovers dark secrets about his beautiful ex-wife and daughter.

The story features Pedro José Donaso (Andrés García), a wealthy old man in love with a gorgeous younger woman, Isabel Arroyo (Lorena rojas). He dies suddenly, but returns to Earth through transmigration (the passing of a soul into another body after death), in the body of Salvador Cerinza (Mario Cimarro), a handsome (yet poor) family man. Pédro Jose searches for everything he lost, uncovering secrets, truths and deceptions. Ultimately, he must set things straights and save those who truly loved him.
Interesting right? We will all be waiting for the uncovering of all the secrets.  A big Congratulations to ABS-CBN for investing Mexicanovela such as this.

The Art of Seduction

by , in

Last night, I watched this movie - The Art of Seduction. It is a Korean Love Story and Romantic Comedy Movie. Whew! What a description! The two lead roles are Son Eon-jin ( from the famous A Moment to Remember and the Classic) and Song Il Gook (from Jumong). Hmmnn..the two look good together.

Son Eon-jin's character here is far way different from those two great movies I've mentioned. Her antics are superb and I was also surprised to see her dancing. She really has a knack and it is no doubt that you can consider her as a versatile actress. Song Il Gook was just okay, a lot of exposures were actually given to Song Eon-jins.

But I am not satisfied with the ending of the movie. I want more! I was expecting they will  present a very happy and nice ending but i was just wrong. It was just something okay.

Synopsis: (from Wikipedia)

Min-Jun (SONG Il-Kook) and Ji-Won (SON Ye-Jin) are so-called the first-rate "players" who are dating gurus with 100% success rates in any dating pursuits. Following her usual systematic dating rules, Ji-Won fakes a schematic car accident to capture Min-Jun's attention and successfully approaches him.

However, her smooth-sailing dating life finally encounters turbulence. Why in the world is this guy not succumbing to her alluring charm? Ironically enough, Min-Jun is also overwhelmed by the understanding that he has met his match. However, like the veteran players that they are, these two shouldn't show any signs of weakness in their dating tactics. Who will emerge victorious and become the last player standing?

Ratings: 3.7/5 for this movie!

I love LOVERS!

by , in

Lovers is one good Korean Drama that I would love to spend my time watching. I am a fan of Kim Jung Eun ever since Lovers in Paris. Hmmnn..too bad, I am not able to follow all the episodes of it (ABS-CBN airing). I only see a few but there are scenes I don't understand.

I searched it in Crunchyroll but it has been removed already. I think I have also tried it in mysoju.com but it is still under repair. Gosshh... I will just have to buy a DVD of this drama.

Do you like/love Lovers too? You know, I am starting to like the guy. He is not actually that handsome but I love his body. Hehehehhee...and I also love his character. To be honest, guys with those "chinito" eyes seems to be attractive now to me. Hehehehehe...

By the way, I found an interesting blog about this Korean Drama entitled "Lovers". Actually, the author created this blog because of his or her love to the series. I even like the header he designed. I also got the above image there.

100 days with Mr. Arrogant

by , in

Just this early morning, I finished watching 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant which is a romantic comedy movie from Korea. I just got bored and tired that's why I watched movie. It helps, sort of a remedy. Hehehehhe...

Anyways, I was having fun while watching this movie but I am a bit frustrated with the ending. It leaves me hanging. Where Hyung-jun (Kim Jaewon) and Kang Ha-yeong (Ha Ji Won) end up together? I don't get its ending honestly. What the heck happen? Why is Ha Jin Won doing the same or exact thing when they first meet? But this time she is on the shoes of Hyung-jun but with a different guy. Argghh!

Synopsis:  (from Wikipedia)

After being dumped by her boyfriend just before their 100 day anniversary, Ha-Young (Ha Ji-Won) meets a college guy named Hyung-Joon when she kicks a can that accidentally hits him in the face and causes him to scratch his Lexus. He demands she pay him $3000 on the spot. She escapes from him, leaving her wallet behind.

Hyung-Joon stalks her, demanding money to pay for his car. Since she is a poor high school student Hyung-Joon writes up a "Enslavement Agreement" for Ha-Young in order to pay for the damage to his car. Ha-Young is thrown into a nightmarish slave life for 100 days, running his errands, ie: cleaning his house, carrying his shopping, and cleaning his car.

By accident she finds out that the damage to Hyung-Joon's car only costs $10! She then takes her revenge. However, before she knows it Hyung-Joon shows up at her house as her new tutor! He once again takes advantage of her, but soon Ha-Young finds herself falling head over heels for Hyung-Joon. But what happens when he drops out of her life just when she needs him most?

The original Korean title can be literally translated as "my love, the asshole," or, more roughly, as "my love, the no-manners".

Why don't you check it out guys and tell me what is your idea. It is a 3.5/5 movie for movie!

A Moment to Remember

by , in

My friend, Grace requested me to stay at their boarding house to accompany her sister. She is actually out for this weekend for an outing. When I arrived at their house, Love2x and her friend were watching 200 Pounds of Beauty (one the best Korean Movies).

After which, she played another good movie entitled “A Moment to Remember”. I have actually watched this already and I remember I was watching it alone during wee hours.  I was a bit sleepy that’s why I wasn’t able to appreciate the movie that much. Besides, this movie is just like The 50 first dates.

Anyways, last night’s movie mood was good. I appreciate the movie so much and find it so nice compared before. I was touched and moved by their love story. It was just so inspiring. How I wish I could find a guy such like him in the real world. I can’t help to admire  the character. He really loves her wife inspite of the fact that she is suffering from an alzheimer’s disease. And it just made me cry...

I will now include this movie to one of my favorites. Hats off to the whole cast and to all the people behind this movie. There are numerous romantic lines in this movie. I will just have to play it again in order to have a copy of those good and romantic lines. Till next time!

Synopsis: (taken from Wikipedia)

The first segment of the film, staged in romantic comedy style, introduces the protagonists, a woman named Su Jin and a man named Chul Soo. The movie highlights their accidental meeting in a convenience store and confusion over a can of soda, followed by their subsequent courting despite the social standings that should have kept them apart.

The second segment follows the couple now settling into married life. Su-Jin learns to be a housewife as her husband cares for her. But as the segment progresses, Su-jin begins to display forgetfulness, including an incident in which a fire breaks out because of a forgotten stove. While Chul Soo caught the fire in time, the seriousness of the incident and others draw them to seek medical help.

The third segment involves the revelation of Alzheimer's disease and the couple's consequent response to it. Su Jin is heavily burdened by the knowledge that she will forget her husband and hides it from him at first until he seeks advice from the doctor himself. Despite the disease, they make the commitment to stay together and as the disease progresses, the trials the couple go through increase because of Su Jin's forgetfulness.

The fourth segment reveals Su-jin in the final stages of the disease and the grief Chul Soo experiences because of it. Yet he remains beside her, despite her lost memory, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses when he visits her so she can't see his tears.

The end of the movie finishes off with Chul Soo replaying the first time they met in the convenience store with all her friends and family in the store. In the final scene, Su-jin is riding beside her husband in the car in the sunset, and he can finally tell her, "I love you."

Enjoy life and be in love! 10/10 for this movie!

The Singing Bee

by , in

The Singing Bee is one good show ABS-CBN has invested. To think, Filipinos love to sing. I am pretty sure this show will have high ratings not only on its premiere this coming monday (April 21) but all throughout.

Cesar Montano will be hosting the show and it only proves that he is a versatile person. He is not only into acting but also into singing. I still remember his movie where he was singing while playing the guitar. The song was Sana ay Mahalin mo rin ako. It was so beautiful!

Anyways, this game shows does not require you to be good in singing even if you are a "banyo queen". You just need to remember the lyrics of the song. It is not a spelling bee but a singing bee.

Belated Happy Birthdays sa aking mga inaanak!

by , in
AlRitch
Two days ago was the birthday of my two godchildren, Kristine Marie and James Nave. They are siblings and their birthdays fall on the same day. (Minus ang gastos! Wakekekeke) Kristine is now 12 years old and James is 3 years old.

So lucky because on that day my money from Paypal arrived. (Bongga! Hehehehhee ). My schedule for the payment of all the bills, groceries and others. This is the 3rd month where I am doing this and they all come from the earnings I got from blogging. It feels good, at least nakaluag-luag nami.

Dark Water

by , in

I Googled for the best horror movies because my cute little neighbors were convincing me all this time to let them see these movies. (They really want to scare themselves to death)

And Dark Water was among the best movies those websites have recommended. So, we were intrigued and searched it on Crunchyroll.

The movie is divided into two parts. Perhaps, the whole movie cannot be uploaded at once. Part 1? So dull. I was so tired waiting for something to interest me. No scary scenes, I was just overacting, shouting to make them be afraid at least. (LOL!)

When we began playing the Part 2, (duh!) same thing. There was just few scenes that will make you shout but not scary at all. I always wonder how did they find the movie nice and scary. Well, my standard to horror movies maybe too high that's why I am always frustrated whenever I watch Horror Movies.

Ratings: 5/10!

A fun night with children

by , in
Me and my five cute little neighbors just finished watching Dark Water, a Japanese Horror Movie. Like them, its been a couple of months where I was not able to see a movie in the big screen. That was why we plan to make the experience like watching in a movie house.

We put our chairs together. We put our pillows above on each of those chairs so that we feel relaxed while watching. We closed our windows and turned off the lights. To feel the moment even better, we bought foods to satisfy our stomach. But we were not able to make it like the temperature in the movie house because we don't have an aircon, we only used our sole electric fan.

I have been tagged again!

by , in
This is actually the third tag I've received. I'm having a hard time locating for the second tag because my posts are not properly labeled. I have to edit them sometime soon.

Anyways, my new friend and a fellow Dabawenya - Meiyah tagged me. I am confused at first with the instructions because I only go to Photobucket just to upload pictures but later on I found out through this tag that there are a lot of cool things to see there.

Instructions:
1. Go to Photobucket.com (you can use your own account)
2. Type in your answer to the question in the "Search Box or Field"
3. Insert the pictures into your blog.

I have only chosen few images or pictures because putting too much would affect the loading of my site. And the questions are as follows:

1. What is your relationship status?

Love
2.What is your current mood? I am damn busy. Making money online and offline, doing household chores.
3. Who is your favorite band/artist? Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5, Regina Spektor, James Blunt and others....

4. What is your favorite movie?

The Notebook
5. What kind of pet do you have? Only cats.
6. Where do you live currently? Davao City, Philippines.
7. Where do you work? At home (blogging) and tutorial center. I am still looking for a full time job.

8. Who do you look like? (Ahem!)

Which Hana Kimi do you like?

by , in
GMA-7's Hana Kimi

Versus

Hana KimiABS-CBN's Hana Kimi

I was really having fun with this network rivalries. You see ABS-CBN and GMA-7 both invested money on this famous manga and series - Hana Kimi just to get high ratings. What's more funny is that ABS-CBN put an emphasis that their version was the original. Defensive right? but to tell you honestly, I like the Japanese version more than the Taiwanese Version. GMA-7 is really good at these things. They have great dubbers especially to animes and drama series.

Second reason why I like Hana Kimi on GMA-7 was the cast. Remember my post about Nobuta wo Produce. That lady on those two great Jdrama is Maki Horikita. She is more lovely than the one who played the starring role in ABS-CBN. The other guy (love interest) was also one of the student of Onizuka. I've posted also about Great Teacher Onizuka in one of my blogs and he was still young at that time. His name there was Noburo Yoshikawa and his real name is Oguri Shun. The transition of characters from those two famous series also are just so awesome. I really like how he looks now. Ang macho talaga at ang lakas ng dating! Hehehehehhe...

Anyway, that's all I can say. Besides, I don't want to make this post lengthy because I know it will not interest you to read a long post right? So, which do you prefer? ABS-CBN's Hana Kimi or GMA-7's Hana Kimi? Its up to you to decide. Better watch them both because they have different time slots anyway. Enjoy! It only means that Hana Kimi is really a superb show!

Too Beautiful to Lie

by , in

While doing some video searching on You Tube a year ago I happened to see a video of this  movie where I read some comments that Too Beautiful to Lie was actually their favorite. Got interested so just three weeks ago, I watched this one. Sorry for the late post you know what happens right? Read this post.

Anyway, I like this movie. The story line is cute and I have not seen any duplicate story about this movie (so far). I like the fact that the guy didn't mind about the past of the girl and they start new things all over again.  Oh how I wish I could find someone who will really love me for who I am. The like of "O Pag-ibig hahamakin ang lahat masunod ka lamang". . Romantic noh?

By the way, want to watch this movie? Just click this link. On the scale of 1-10 I give this movie 6!

Gokusen

by , in

Gokusen is the third Jdorama I have watched. I am now in the Episode 9 of this series. So far, everything is doing great. Gokusen is quite the same with GTO because this is also a story of a teacher and delinquent students.

But this time around, the teacher is not a guy but a young lady who happens to be in a Yakuza Family. Ever heard of that word? Let me refresh your mind. According to Wikipedia, they are the traditional organized crime groups in Japan. Sounds interesting right? Yamaguchi Kumiko (main character) will soon be the successor of the family business (she will be the next boss). Hmmnn...She is actually the homeroom teacher of the 3D class who are all boys and considered as "trash" in their school.

One good line I will never forget about this series was when Ojou or Yamaguchi said this:
"No matter what happens i'll make sure everyone of you graduates"
You see? She will do everything just to let all her students graduate. What an amazing teacher! It is hard to find one in the real world because they don't seem to care those who are considered "trash". They always go for those who gets high grades, etc..and chuvaness!

I will be posting other inspiring lines from this series as soon as I finished the whole episodes. Stay tune! Wakekekekekkeke...
