The Pianist

by , in
Ever since I was able to watch the 75th Annual Academy Awards or Oscars on Studio 23 I really got interested with this movie. The Pianist had received a lot of nominations from Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Editing and Best Picture with major wins on Best Director, Best Writing - Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor in Leading Role categories. I was thinking this must be a really good movie if that's the case.

So I watched it but only few weeks ago. Imagine it was first shown on the year 2003 and now its 2008. Hehehehee...Jaahh..nevermind as long as I have able to see it - time has never been an issue to me when it comes to movies. I even prefer watching a movie in the big screen on its 3rd week or a week before it will have its change picture. I got a lot of reasons for that.

Must-See Movies!

by , in
Everytime I am bored, one of the things that I usually do to ease it is watch movies. I am a movie buff anyway. Almost every week I borrowed DVD's and VCD's from Video City, aside from the regular watching at crunchyroll, watch-movies.net and the DVD's I bought and borrowed from friends. I am trying to do a little review of them in my Movie Blog and Love Story Blog but I can't seem to do it often because I watch movies more! Jaahhh...

The Scarlet Letter (Korean)

by , in
A one of a kind movie which created a big impact why the late Lee Eun-ju committed suicide in the real life.

A detective, his 3 girls & a murder case!

Complex emotional relationships and human nature’s darker sides are explored in this captivating suspense drama about a cop whose lust for love threatens to get in the way of his professional life.

Ki-hoon is guy that doesn’t mind an erotic adventure. Even though he is married to charming and beautiful Soo-hyun, he engages in a passionate affair with his wife’s friend night club singer Ka-hee.

As if things weren’t complicated enough, he suddenly starts being attracted to murder suspect Kyung-hee whom he earlier believed to be involved in the killing of her husband.

Can Ki-hoon finally overcome all the irresistible temptations he encounters in his life ? These and other questions will be revealed in The Scarlet Letter.

Cast and Characters:

Suk-kyu Han - Ki-hoon

Eun-ju Lee - Ga-hee

Hyeon-a Seong - Kyeong-hie

Ji-won Uhm - Su-hyeon

I just hope Lee Eun-ju didn't let herself be affected by the criticisms she got from this movie because of her explicit s** scenes. It made this movie great because of her acting and I believe those scenes are apt for the movie, it is not something that can be considered as pornographic. Maybe Korea is still not open to this kind of movie, this is just an ordinary movie in Hollywood you know. There is nothing wrong with this movie in fact you can get a lot of morale/lessons.

 I give this movie 10/10!

The Intimate/Lover - Great Korean Movie!

by , in

This is not the Lovers, a Korean Drama that is airing now on ABS-CBN but this is a different and great movie intended for mature audiences which I've watched on Crunchyroll few nights ago. I put emphasis on mature audiences because you might be shocked on those amazing s** scenes. I believe they are apt for the movie. In short, they give justification to the storyline.

The movie is quite the same with Before Sunrise but this one is not draggy instead Lover is so hot and exciting. I am not sure if they have based the story on Before Sunrise but according to my friend from Video City the part 2 of it is the one that is worth to watch than the part 1. Hmmnn..so Lover is the perfect sum of the two episodes of Before Sunrise?

I am fond of using anyways so let me use it one more time for this post.
