How To Enroll your EON Card to Unionbank Online Banking

by , in
I know this is an overdue post. But I think this is still worth blogging especially to freelancers who are looking for Tips about EON Replacement Card and on How to Enroll to EON Cyber Account

So here it goes...

My EON card has expired last July 2016 and before it happens, I already filed for an under time (at work) so I can apply for an EON Replacement Card.

And I'm glad that I did that because I learned that if you request for an EON Replacement card before the expiration date - it's actually FREE. But if you did that after the expiration date, you will pay P100. At least I was able to save money. :)

As for the application, it was fast and easy and you can apply in any Unionbank branches. You will just need to bring a valid ID and your EON card (of course) because you are going to surrender it and they will break/cut and attached it to you EON Replacement card form (that you are going to fill-out)

After that wait for two weeks to claim your new card.

And when you have finally got your EON Card. It's time that you Re-Enroll or Enroll it Online.

Below are the steps:

1. Go to Unionbank website and click the EON Cyber Account.
For your convenience, here's the URL: https://www.unionbankph.com/ (Note that it is a secure site, you should see the security/lock icon)

2. Then a new window will appear that will let you choose with these two options:
     a. Change Primary Card
     b. Register Now

The Change Primary Card option will ask you to input your previous card number. If you know it, then that's the option that you need to choose. But if you are like me, who didn't bother remembering it or noting it down (yeah, I didn't care anymore because they already break the card - hehe and I only remember my account number hehe) then we will have to choose the Register Now option (which will ask us to input more details since it's a new registration).

PayPal and Unionbank EON ATM Replacement Card Helpful Tips

by , in
Few days ago, I've made a lot of discoveries with Unionbank EON ATM and PayPal. They are actually lessons learned so I just thought of sharing it to you guys if in case you still don't know about these tips. A schoolmate of mine also asked me about Unionbank EON ATM Replacement card, so I'll be sharing the questions he raised too.

I got my replacement card in the afternoon of July 6 and I withdrew money last July 5. Please note that I have to wait for the completion of transaction and the activation of my new ATM.

1. I lost my EON ATM card, can I withdraw PayPal funds while waiting for my replacement card?

Yes. I've actually tried it. But this is using the Withdraw Funds to your Bank Account since this feature will make use of your Account Number. Your account number will always be the same no matter how many times you lost your EON ATM. It is the card number (16 digits number) that will be replaced when you received the replacement card. See image above.

Remember:
For lost/stolen EON ATM cards, you need to present 2 valid ids (photocopy) and affidavit of lost. If you forgot your pin, just present 2 valid ids (photocopy). After one week, you will receive your replacement card.

2. Can I withdraw money on the same day that I received my EON Replacement Card?

No. Even if your PayPal funds have already arrived or your EON ATM has credits you need to wait 1 banking day. They are still going to activate it. If you try it, you will only get an error message saying UNAUTHORIZED USAGE.

Withdraw PayPal Funds in just 1 or 2 days using your EON ATM

by , in
I am a PayPal user for almost 2 years now. And for all this time, I have been paying $5 for every withdrawal that I made using my EON ATM. An option which is not really favorable for all PayPal users outside the US. All the more, when we will have to wait 4-7days or at most 2 weeks before the money will arrive in our bank account.

But hey, I shouldn't have experience all these things if I have only pursued in using my EON ATM as a Local Bank in the Philippines. That I should have called PayPal or Unionbank to ask why the funds I withdraw to my local bank account had been reversed. (I tested this when the 2nd option was first introduced but I care less)...

So guys, I don't want you to REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES that I have made or that STUPIDITY (Gosssh, I am so harsh with myself but no worries = Hehehee...)

How to Call PayPal for Free

by , in
PayPal logoIf you are already desperate to find the reason why the funds you withdrew from PayPal has not yet arrived in your EON Bank Account. Then it's time for you to call PayPal for a faster solution. Don't worry you won't be spending any money for doing that call because there is an option to Call PayPal for Free by using Skype.

Below are the steps:

1. Log-in to Your Skype account and then find the View Menu. It is inline with Skype, Contacts, Conversion, Call, View, Tools and Help.

2. Go to Call Phones and dial 1-888-221-1161. Make sure you select United States as the country or so you will not get an error message that says invalid number.

3. Prepare your Secure Web Pin. You can find this in your PayPal Account. Just go to Contact Us Page and you will see 6 digit numbers.

4. Prepare your bank account number, PayPal email id/account.

And now, you're good to go. Just make sure you are calling during US office hours so you won't end up talking to an answering machine.
