Davao Lady Bloggers

by , in
Davao Lady Bloggers

It's the last day of 2010 and it's 11 more hours to go guys. Wooohoooo! I just can't wait!

I hope and wish a Prosperous New Year to all of you my dear readers. Stay safe and be careful with firecrackers. Thank you for constantly visiting my emo blog site. I hope you enjoyed and learned a lot from my blog posts also. I know I'm not that good but I promise, I will continue to improve my writing.

But before the New Year comes, let me just take this opportunity to be thankful also for being part of this girl group - Davao Lady Bloggers. This year, I became a member and have joined their visit to Davao TLCShop. I've been wanting to join a group like this because I really want to learn more about beauty, fashion, cosmetology, health spa and other things a lady do.

Honestly, up to know – I still don’t know how to put make-up. I don't know what lipstick to use with the kind of lips I have. And I only use pony tail for my curly hair and a white powder for my face/cheeks. When going out, the usual get-up - jeans, rubber shoes and a shirt. Simple as that. And  take note, I've never been to any spa. (LOL!)

My 2010 Trips - Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo and Boracay

by , in
One of the good things that happened to me for 2010 was being able to travel and visit the wonderful places of the Philippines namely Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo and Boracay. Aside from that, it was also memorable because it was my first time to experience riding in an airplane. Yes, after more than 25 years of dreaming it - I have finally realized that dream and it happened twice for this year. That's why I'm so happy.

Boracay, Trip to Boracay

The first trip was last May 13-16 where we went to Cebu and Bohol. After 12 years, I've finally visited my high school Alma Mater (the Sisters of Mary School) and it was just nostalgic. Although we stayed only for a day I'm thankful that I get to visit Taoist Temple and Lapu-Lapu bridge  also. I've never been to these places when I was in Cebu during my high school days. While in Bohol, we had long hours of road trip. We went to Sagbayan Peak, Baclayon Church and museum,  Butterfly and Python sanctuary, Hinagdanan Cave and Loboc River.

An appeal to all Internet Service Providers in the Philippines

by , in

It's been a month now that I subscribed to this wireless net connection. And for that span of time, it has been terrible and a huge struggle. The net connection is always intermittent, when visiting sites the loading takes much longer and when I'm downloading something, it takes days for it to finish.

PLDT, Internet at Home

(Today's speed, it is by far - the fastest. Most of the time, it is horrible especially during rainy days)

But I don't have any option but to bear this because the only connection available in our area is wireless. PLDT, Globe, Bayantel and Smart Bro don't have any DSL connection here in our area yet. That's why I am making an appeal to these Internet Serivce Providers to please make the installation as soon as possible. I am working at home and getting a stable connection is what I badly needed. I believe you'll get more subscribers here. After all, almost all the people here in DECA Homes have computers.

My telephone signal is also affected because it is dependent to my net connection. Same thing with our TV, it can only get three clear channels (ABC, ABS-CBN, GMA).

But forget about the TV and telephone because they are not my immediate concern. I just really want to have a stable connection. This is my major wish. So, I'm calling again all the Internet Service Providers here in the Philippines, please install a reliable internet connection here in Deca Homes, Mintal, Davao City.

UPDATE: Sky Broadband and PLDT DSL are already available here in Deca Homes.

It's the season to get engaged

by , in
It's 4 days to go before Christmas! Yahooooo! I'm already excited. This will be our first Christmas in our new home and some of my cousins will be spending the Holiday with us.

Christmas is just the most wonderful time of the year. And just like the song of the Jackson 5, it's a time to give love and be kind to one of all. So let's forgive and forget, share and spread the love guys.

engagement rings, wedding rings, wedding bands
Talking about spreading the love, don't you know that Christmas is the best season to get engaged? I know you'll agree with me on this. As you too have lots of friends who got engaged this holiday season. Why? Because everybody is in the mood for celebrating and it has that magic and festive-ness that Christmas is known for. So guys if you pop-up that question and you make it as romantic and unforgettable for your special someone, you'll definitely get a "Yes" answer.

Anyway, if you are still looking for the right ring or engagement rings, wedding bands  and diamond wedding bands to give to your dearest one. Try checking World Jewels for that or simply click the above links.Their rings are just so beautiful! See photo example (it's my favorite!).

Happy Holidays!

Smarter Shopping In-Store and Online

by , in
As we fine tune our shopping lists for the holidays, keep in mind that there will be other deals during the up-coming weeks. They may not all be as big as the ones on the biggest shopping days of the year, but they will be significant in helping you save a lot of money. For that reason and many more it is vital that you think about the best ways to shop. Let’s say you want a television and you are looking online and realize the best deal is at Best Buy. Well you can order it online but you have to wait several days for it to get there and also hope that it is in good condition. You can go to the store to buy it buy the fact is that this television is being sold at such a great deal that there is no guarantee the store will have it in stock by the time you get there. That’s why you need to rely on websites for all your information, not only prices and research on the products, but location information as well.

online shopping, local shopping, MILO

There are now plenty of websites that can tell you exactly where you will be able to find the product you want, the exact store closest to you. So if you are thinking about getting something that is on sale from RadioShack or Guitar Center, you can find out online which one closest to you actually has it in stock without having to spend hours on the phone calling around. Using this new technology, you have the ability to merge the best of both online and in-store shopping. Use the internet to find which stores have the product you are looking for in stock at your local store, and at the lowest price. Then you can purchase that very item online, for in-store pick-up the same day.

How to Save on Plumbing Repairs

by , in
After I have paid for the application of water and electricity in our new home I thought everything is already okay. But I was surprised when my mother called up saying that there is a water leak in our kitchen area and the toilets are slow or stopped up also that we will need the help of a plumber or a Duluth plumber.

It’s an additional cost/expense that can be very expensive and yet cannot be avoided. So in order for us to save plumbing costs, we tried to fix it by ourselves. We've cleaned and tried to remove the blockage in the toilet area but unfortunately it is still there. Our mason tried to close the leak by putting cement but the water continued to flow. So we don’t have any other option but warrant plumbers attention. Those people who are really expert into this kind of job like a Las Vegas sewer repair or Marietta water heater plumber.

But I don’t have enough cash so I tried different ways to save on plumbing repairs. I asked several plumbers about their rates of work to find the cheapest option. There are those whose pay in an hourly basis but as you have known, you can’t save much in this situation because everything has to go according to the plumbers timing. And most of the time, they would extend much hours working on it to get more hours of compensation. So dealing with a flexible plumber is a good one because they can be accessed easily. They work whenever it is convenient and their charges are lower. Also, it is easier to negotiate with them compared to hourly rate plumbers. And guess what, I was able to save half the price.

Tutor Jobs

by , in
I was a working student back in College and one of the jobs that I have is being a tutor. I was able to teach elementary and high school students. And every after class I go to the tutorial center. It's like a classroom settings but you are limited to handle certain number of students so you can really pay attention to their needs.

During weekend also, I have a tutorial job. And most of these students who hire me as a tutor have difficulty with their Math subjects. A few examples are on how to solve Algebraic equations, linear equations and how to write standard form equations. As you know even if they are still elementary students, they already have these kinds of Math questions. All the more when they reach high school and college.

But it was a bit hard working on that kind of scenario. As I need to travel from one place to another and pay is not that good. So it's better if you are in a tutorial center or you teach your students online. In that way, you no longer need to travel and you are able to save more.

If you are interested to learn more about online tutoring, you can visit TutorNext.

Online Business Basic Set-up

by , in
Here are the basics steps:

First, you need to find a suitable domain for your website and make sure that it still available. After accomplishing such task, registering your desired domain name will come in handy.

Now after acquiring your own domain name, your next task is to get a good web hosting. There a lot of online sellers available in the market which you can find for this but choosing a web hosting service that is something superb is quite challenging. So you need to make sure that the server is fast, reliable, and comes with all of the features you need. It should be stable also and if the services they offer is worth the price for small to medium businesses. And of course, look for a web hosting company that gives you an excellent customer service.

But if you are looking for other than basic, try managed hosting, dedicated servers, VPS, colocation and others.Go check it out!

Become an Online Tutor

by , in
There are a lot of job opportunities which you can find online if you want to start working at the comfort of your home.

Tutor Vista, Online Tutor, Help with Math
They are not only IT related but also other jobs such as an article writer, a virtual assistant or an online tutor. The latter, most of my friends who have this kind of job are English online tutors and they teach Korean and Japanese students. They follow a lesson for the basic grammar but sometimes their students would request to have it more like a chit-chat. They discuss any topics be it from politics, entertainment, life or love. As long as they talk in English and correct pronunciation and grammars are always followed.

Other subjects which have a higher demand of tutors are Math and Science. It's a known fact that most of the students find these two subjects really diffficut. And it is beneficial if students get Geometry help, Chemistry help, Physics help from their tutors.

News Drama

by , in
This week's news on TV was full of drama.

There was the house demolition where you can see people lying on the streets - crying, throwing stones with the demolition team and others were running around with their knives. It caused heavy traffic in Metro Manila and there was just no crowd control and enough barricades that's why a lot of people had been injured too (so depressing)

Second was the bar exam bombing where police said a member of a fraternity may have thrown a grenade at a rival group. It could have been a jubilant ending for the aspiring lawyers but it ended in a tragedy. As you have seen it on TV, you can see lots of stanchions in the crime scene and there were 47 injured students including one who was amputated with her two legs.

My Window Shopping Experience

by , in
My legs still hurt. I went on a window shopping yesterday after meeting my friends.

I spent almost 3 hours checking items that I need to have for our reunion and for our house. And when we headed home, a heavy rain suddenly poured when we were in Claveria. So as expected, the multicab was stucked in the flood (Bajada area) and all the passengers were advised to transfer to another public transportation. And the water was already knee level.

I should have went home early. But since I was already in the mall that time, I took the chance to get ideas on what to buy so I can budget my money well.

Although I was able to get to see and touch how an item looks, the window shopping was just time-consuming and tiring. Unlike shopping online, I can just do it in a few clicks. Thus, finding an item is made easier and faster. Like if I am searching for a spanx shapewear, la perla bras or simone perele bras I can just type in these keywords into the search bar of the online store. Immediately after, I get results and I can just do it at the comfort of my own home.

DECA Homes Pre-Qualification Requirements for Pag-ibig Homeowners

by , in
Pag-ibig Fund, Pag-ibig Fund logo
Last August 26, I received a wondeful news. My Pag-ibig Housing Loan is finally approved and our house in DECA Homes is already finished. Yay! I just need to find money and work on the application for water and electricity  including our hollow block fench and gate so we can finally transfer there. We've been renting for more than 20 years already and we never have our own house here in Davao. I'm just so happy that I've been able to do this. Getting a housing loan is a good alternative than renting for like years without having the chance of owning it.

Anyway, if you are interested to invest or to apply in DECA Homes, here are the requirements for Employed, Self-Employed, OFW and In-House Financing. I believe almost the same requirements apply to other subdivisons also.

EMPLOYED:
    1. MSVS or Membership Status Verification Slip - you need to attend the Pag-ibig seminar to get this. This is every Friday 8:30am-11:30am and 2:00-5:00pm at Pag-ibig Office in LandCo bldg. You will  definitely learn a lot of things.
    2. At least 24 months of monthly contribution to Pag-ibig. (For my case, I paid the 2 years contribution so I can qualify right away. Minimum contribution is P200/month)
    3. photocopy of Residence Certificate (husband and wife - if married)
    4. Marriage Contract (if married), birth certificate (if single)
    5. 3 pcs 1x1 ID picture (husband and wife - if married)
    6. photocopy of Cedula (get this from your Barangay office)
    7. Certificate of Employment and Compensation
    8. Latest Income Tax Return or Form 2316
    9. Latest 1 month pay slip
    10. Checking account to cover 2 years of monthly deposit amortization (I've issued 26 post dated checks for this. The other 2 checks are for the payment on the equity. After 2 years, the payment will be made to Pag-ibig.)
    11. Proof of Billing Address (mails, water and light bills - my name is not written on the water and light bills since we are just renting. So I've included my telephone and internet bills)
    12. photocopy of TIN Card, SSS Card or two valid ID's

Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars

by , in

I first learned this beautiful song from the tweet of Bubbles Paraiso, a sexy celebrity here in the Philippines who is also a blogger.  And she's right, this is damn cheesy and I just love the lyrics and the melody soooooooooooo much. How I also wish, someone (soon) will sing this song for me. Check-out the video and sing the song with the lyrics below.

Oh, her eyes, her eyes, make the stars look like they’re not shining
Her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day

Yeah, I know, I know, when I compliment her she won’t believe me
And it’s so, it’s so, sad to think that she don’t see what I see
But every time she asks me do I look ok, I say

When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change
Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while

Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are
Her lips, her lips, I could kiss them all day if she let me
Her laugh, her laugh, she hates but I think it’s so sexy

Bruno Mars
She’s so beautiful, and I tell her every day
Oh, you know, you know, you know, I’d never ask you to change
If perfect’s what you’re searching for then just stay the same

So, don’t even bother asking if you look ok
You know I’ll say
When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change

Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are

The way you are, the way you are
Girl you’re amazing, just the way you are
When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change

Because you’re amazing, just the way you are
And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while
Because girl you’re amazing, just the way you are. Yeah

Interesting Business: Make Money from your Cars and Pick-up Trucks

by , in
Making Money by providing services using your cars or other vehicle is an interesting business my friends and I have found while we had our trip in Bohol.

We thought that travelling from A to B in Bohol is just easy because there are jeepneys and taxis you can always find like here in Davao. But when we already shared to my friend's cousin our itinerary we were shocked when we learned that it's difficult to realize everything what we've planned. There's just not enough jeepneys and taxis there and it will take you that much time if you will wait for the next public transportation to pass. If there is, it is always loaded.

But there's a good alternative and it was to rent a van. We paid P3,000 for whole day of travelling and gas and driver's fee are already inclusive. Worth it right? My only little comment is only in the aircon. I hope it was working properly. Hehehe...

Nevertheless, I am still amazed with this kind of business. Your main cost will only be filling up the gas. And you can charge a flat fee for a job depending on the amount of work involved and then charge an amount per mile that takes into account how much gas you will use as a result.

In fact, our neighbor is starting this business. They've made their pick-up truck to look good as possible and have even bought tonneau cover for it. And few days ago, I also learned that Henry (my blogger friend) has this business too. Bongga! How I wish I also have a pick-up truck or other vehicle so I can venture into this business.

Hyundai Tuscon

It probably takes you years saving money to finally have the amount to buy your dream car Hyundai Tuscon. Or perhaps, you just got an approval from the bank of your car loan which sooner or later will be a deduction to your monthly salary. Or if you’re well off enough, you can just buy a car anytime.

But still, they are hard earned money. And you wouldn't want to invest it into something that you will soon regret right?

Philly Cheese Stick Pizza, The Old Spaghetti House
Parang ang sarap kumain ng pizza ngayon. Namiss ko tuloy itong Philly Cheese Stick na natikman namin sa Old Spaghetti House sa SM Cebu. Pagod na pagod kami that time after a long walk from Taoist Temple kasi hapon na ng dumating kami at hindi kaagad kami nakahanap ng taxi pauwi. So naisipan naming magdrop by muna sa SM at kumain. Naghanap kami ng makakainan na hindi namin nakikita sa Davao at hayon, napunta kami sa The Old Spaghetti House.

Isa ito sa mga inorder namin at ito ang pinakamasarap. Ito ay 255 pesos at good for 2-3 persons.

Swimming Lessons Plan and Scuba Diving in Sharm El Sheikh

by , in
I have a phobia for water which was brought by a childhood experience of almost drowning. That's why every beach getaway that we have, you can always see me swimming just near the shoreline. And every water sports competition that I am invited to, I always declined. But still, I want to overcome this fear especially that I am not getting any younger.

So now, I am planning to enroll in swimming lessons already and try water related sports like scuba diving. The latter, it's my dream that I experience it in Sharm El Sheikh Holidays. I've learned that the said place is the most extraordinary diving destination in Red Sea, Egypt. And you can find a lot of amazing coral reefs and shipwrecks also.

Relax and Unwind

by , in
Are you feeling tired, stressed-out and irritable lately? Are you having problems with you concentration and now performing uncommon errors? Or have you noticed the general drop in your work performance? Do you always yawn and feel that you need the urge to stretch and move about?

hot tubs spas, portable spa
Then you need to take a break and relax. If you ignore these early signs, it could impact heavily not only in yourself but also of the people around you. So, it is necessary that you find time and space to relax even 20-30minutes per day. (Preferred is two or three times a day).

There are lots of ways on how to do it, just find what works best for you. As for me, here's what I do:

a. sleeping or taking a nap
b. taking a shower/bath
c. watching movies/tv series

Of the three, I find taking a shower/bath - the most relaxing. I spend more than an hour everyday doing it. It would even be better if I have my own hot tubs spas.

Remembering my Habal-habal experience

by , in
Everytime I read or heard about motorcycles, there's just one funny and scary experience that I will never forget. It is on the first time that I have tried riding in a Habal-Habal with my friends as the passengers.

Habal-habal
Habal-habal is a popular mode of transportation in the mountainous areas and hinterlands of Visayas and Mindanao. It is made of just a single motorcycle used for public hire in the Philippines. In some provinces, they even have Skylab - that is where they put a board across the seat or a platform around the bike to hold more passengers

How to disable Start-up Applications

by , in
Sometimes when we installed programs in our computer, we overlooked the option where we disable them during start-up or for some, they just automatically adds up in our start-up apps. So everytime we boot our PC, it just runs slow and will only frustrate us. Like in my case, this Twitter Traffic Bot software just bugs me that I needed to disable them. Here are the steps:

a. Click Start and find the command prompt Run.
b. In the command prompt, type msconfig

c. Find Start-up Menu and unchecked the program you want to remove.  (see first image, I have checked the programs that I wanted to remove)

Shop at HerRoom

by , in
It's a natural characteristic of a woman to be vain. Because we want to beautiful in the eyes of others most especially to guys and we want to feel good about ourselves too. So don't wonder if you always find us looking at the mirror and are obsessed with our bags, shoes, clothes, accessories, make-ups, hairs, nails and even lingeries.

wacoal bras, vanity fair brasThe latter, it’s a foundation of every woman’s wardrobe that can give us an unimaginable self-confidence. Whether they are vanity fair bras, camisoles, a shapewear or any. All the more when they are chosen from a good store where lingeries are beautifully made, comfortable and of good quality. Like this Wacoal Petite Contour Bra 75380 which I found from HerRoom. See image left. It belongs to Wacoal bras that are specifically made for petite women.

Here's a little detail of the product which I truly love:

It creates an elegant silhouette under blouses and knits, it has seamless sides for a smooth look under clothes, the cups are just padded enough to prevent show-through and provide great shape, but not so much that they are bulky or uncomfortable.

New LSS: "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon

by , in

WOW! I just can't get this song out of my mind. And I have been playing You're so Vain for 8hrs already. And these lines?  " You're so vain. You probably think this song is about you. You're so vain. I'll bet you think this song is about you. Don't you, don't you" - I just love it.

Just want to shout this out to this someone who have hurt me so bad. You know who you are.

Trivia: The identity of the lover in this song has been a subject of debate for over 30 years.

You walked into the party
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot

You had one eye in the mirror
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed
That they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

You had me several years ago
When I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave

But you gave away the things you loved
And one of them was me
I had some dreams
They were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

Well I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun

Well, you're where you should be all of the time
And when you're not you're with
Some underworld spy
Or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and....

You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you

Don't you? Don't you?

Few days ago, I've made a lot of discoveries with Unionbank EON ATM and PayPal. They are actually lessons learned so I just thought of sharing it to you guys if in case you still don't know about these tips. A schoolmate of mine also asked me about Unionbank EON ATM Replacement card, so I'll be sharing the questions he raised too.

I got my replacement card in the afternoon of July 6 and I withdrew money last July 5. Please note that I have to wait for the completion of transaction and the activation of my new ATM.

1. I lost my EON ATM card, can I withdraw PayPal funds while waiting for my replacement card?

Yes. I've actually tried it. But this is using the Withdraw Funds to your Bank Account since this feature will make use of your Account Number. Your account number will always be the same no matter how many times you lost your EON ATM. It is the card number (16 digits number) that will be replaced when you received the replacement card. See image above.

Remember:
For lost/stolen EON ATM cards, you need to present 2 valid ids (photocopy) and affidavit of lost. If you forgot your pin, just present 2 valid ids (photocopy). After one week, you will receive your replacement card.

2. Can I withdraw money on the same day that I received my EON Replacement Card?

No. Even if your PayPal funds have already arrived or your EON ATM has credits you need to wait 1 banking day. They are still going to activate it. If you try it, you will only get an error message saying UNAUTHORIZED USAGE.

I'm back at the Sisters of Mary School

by , in
The Sisters of Mary School
I'm feeling nostalgic. After 12 years, I'm back in Cebu and have finally visited my dearest high school Alma Mater - the Sisters of Mary School Girlstown School.

With my short vacation trip (May 13-16), I get to see my high school bestfriend (Nanette), my other high school classmates (Celeste - who also served as our tourist guide and Ann - she is from Davao too) and of course roamed around the different areas of the school as I reminisce the memories I've spent studying at the Sisters of Mary. Jaaaahhh... Nothing just beats the high school life!

With my high-school bestfriend, Ma. Nanette Reposar.

With Celeste (high school classmate - wearing black), Leizl and Rose (college classmates)

The Sisters of Mary School
At the gate area. "Serve the Lord with Joy" - this is the Sisters of Mary motto (taken from Psalms)

St. Therese building - this serves as our dormitories and classrooms when we were still first year students. I cannot forget the incident when all the 6th batch shouted. Hehehhee...

Taylor Lautner on Latest Celebrity Gossip

by , in
Taylor Lautner
It's 9 days before the release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (3rd installment of Twilight Series) and I just can't wait to see Taylor Lautner in the big screen again. Yay!

I really got a huge crush on this teenager guy eversince I've watched him in the Twilight Saga: New Moon. And oh yes, I belong to Team Jacob and I as one of those "not teenager" movie goers who screamed like a "teenager" while watching the said movie (especially on the part where he take off his shirt). Haha!

In the Eclipse Movie, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will finally kiss. Oh sweet! We have long been waiting for this since New Moon. Remember the phone rang when they were about to kiss? It was really a disappointment for us, Team Jacob fans. We were already screaming "Kiss him, Kiss him". Haha!

According to the Latest Celebrity Gossip, Kristen and Taylor admitted that the kiss was really awkward (just as any first kiss).

As soon as we finished, as soon as we pulled away and they called cut, she'd look at me and I'd look at her and there would be a moment of silence," Lautner told Access Hollywood. "And she would go: We just kissed!"

Friends Forever - Clan B

by , in

I can't help but smile looking at these pictures again with CLAN B. (We call ourselves as Clan B because we belong to section B since 1st year-4th year and we are friends, college classmates and a family)

I still remember the jokes of Gerald which made my stomach hurts so much (click image for larger view and see how we look while laughing..hehehehe) and the fun that we had remembering the memories we shared during College days.

How to Fix Missing Folder Options

by , in
Fix Missing Folder Options

A common problem that we always encounter with our computer is the missing folder options. This is actually because of the computer virus that disables this feature. So to fix this, here are two ways:

Solution 1: Edit registry
1. Go to Run, type regedit then press enter.
2. Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].
3. At right panel, look for a value called NoFolderOptions. Right click on it then choose Delete.
4. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].
5. Repeat step 3 to delete NoFolderOptions entry.
Solution 2: Change setting in Group Policy
1. Go to Run, type gpedit.msc then press enter.
2. Navigate to User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer.
3. At the right panel, look for “Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu”, right click on it then choose Properties.
4. Change the setting from Enabled to Not Configured or Disabled.
These steps are also tested and 100% working on windows XP.

Get up with this UP Movie

by , in
I really had a great time watching this comedy adventure movie from Disney /Pixar  named UP.

It is about a 78-year old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. Not knowing, along his trip, Russell a very optimistic 8 years old Wilderness Explorer who desperately wants to have his final badge by Assisting the Elderly made his way above and beyond to respond to the call of his duty which is to assist Mr. Fredricksen in the wilds of South America.
I loved the idea of tying thousands of balloons in his house in order for him to fly.  I also admired the character of Dug. He is a lovable golden mutt who wants to prove that he belongs to his master.

This movie is  both funny and adventurous and conveys moral values that our relationship with others is what makes our life meaningful and colorful and that makes our happiness goes UP.

Web Hosting Tips

by , in
Do you want get serious with blogging and wish to bring your blogsite onto the next level? Like earning some money? Then here are some important tips for you.

Web Hosting plays a very important role in the success of any web sites especially sites that engage in online businesses. Thus choosing the best provider is crucial for everyone.

Like in my case, I’ve been blogging for almost 4 years now and what makes my blogsites up and working is because of a stable and dependable web hosting service provider. Although most of my blogs came from a free blogging platform, the web hosting service provider is really good. Not to mention those that came from Blogger, I.ph, Wordpress and Multiply. Free accounts yet downtime is seldom to be experienced.

Withdraw PayPal Funds in just 1 or 2 days using your EON ATM

by , in
I am a PayPal user for almost 2 years now. And for all this time, I have been paying $5 for every withdrawal that I made using my EON ATM. An option which is not really favorable for all PayPal users outside the US. All the more, when we will have to wait 4-7days or at most 2 weeks before the money will arrive in our bank account.

But hey, I shouldn't have experience all these things if I have only pursued in using my EON ATM as a Local Bank in the Philippines. That I should have called PayPal or Unionbank to ask why the funds I withdraw to my local bank account had been reversed. (I tested this when the 2nd option was first introduced but I care less)...

So guys, I don't want you to REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKES that I have made or that STUPIDITY (Gosssh, I am so harsh with myself but no worries = Hehehee...)

How to Call PayPal for Free

by , in
PayPal logoIf you are already desperate to find the reason why the funds you withdrew from PayPal has not yet arrived in your EON Bank Account. Then it's time for you to call PayPal for a faster solution. Don't worry you won't be spending any money for doing that call because there is an option to Call PayPal for Free by using Skype.

Below are the steps:

1. Log-in to Your Skype account and then find the View Menu. It is inline with Skype, Contacts, Conversion, Call, View, Tools and Help.

2. Go to Call Phones and dial 1-888-221-1161. Make sure you select United States as the country or so you will not get an error message that says invalid number.

3. Prepare your Secure Web Pin. You can find this in your PayPal Account. Just go to Contact Us Page and you will see 6 digit numbers.

4. Prepare your bank account number, PayPal email id/account.

And now, you're good to go. Just make sure you are calling during US office hours so you won't end up talking to an answering machine.

Make Money Online from Sponsored Reviews

by , in
Just checked my Sponsored Reviews account and I've noticed that it was actually yesterday (February 12) where I turned my 2nd year in writing reviews from the different opportunities which I got from this site. Wow!

And you know what, it is Sponsored Reviews where I got most of my Make Money Online (so far). Not to mention the year 2008, where I've earned $2958. Hmmn..It was already a big amount of money for me. If you divide it by 12 - I am like getting the minimum pay of a full time employee here in Davao. Cool!

Melai is the PBB Double Up Winner

by , in
