Tough and beautiful, this would probably be the first words that come to anyone’s minds when they see the trailer of the new and upcoming comedy by the unlikely duo Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy.
‘The Heat’ is about a by-the-book, rigid FBI agent Sarah Ashburn (Bullock) who is forced to partner up with a detective that’s bound to push the limits, Shannon Mullins (McCarthy) to take down a Russian drug lord.
Both lead actresses are no strangers to their character’s personality. Bullock has previously played a slob, FBI agent in both Ms. Congeniality installments while the ‘wild child’ McCarthy is reminiscent of her role in identity thief.
The movie is set in Boston, before the tragedic bombing and features Bostonians such as Jane Curtin, Bill Burr and Joey McIntyre. As Melissa McCarthy said, “If this movie can help Boston laugh, then that would be great.”
With its great storyline and superb cast, I’m pretty sure it will.
