Uniforms

by , in
The uniforms you see that are worn by hospital personnel may be different from the ones made for policemen, teachers and other professionals. However, its purpose is no different from among them. Uniforms are primarily made to establish identity and to set yourself away from the usual crowd; medical uniforms would tell people that you work in the hospital, as teachers uniforms would give a child the impression that you are the authority inside the classroom.

To further distinguish the different personnel inside an institution, different uniforms may also be used. Inside the hospital for example, the nurse has to wear the prescribed hospital nurse uniform while the surgeon must wear the medical scrub pants and top.

There are a couple more purposes and advantages that uniforms bring to the society, aside from establishing identity. One, professionals are believed to perform better when wearing a uniform. The uniform helps establish the working ambience within the working area, thus, setting the minds of the employees that they are there to work. Second, uniforms help employees to save a lot of time and money. Having the same type of clothing to wear everyday for work actually lessens the time for a person to think about fashion and eventually saving him a few hundred bucks every month. Although uniforms have some disadvantages, the convenience it brings to people overrides its drawbacks.

Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez wedding photos by Nice PrintPhotography

by , in
There is only one wedding coverage that I’ve watched on TV so far and it was Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez celebrity wedding. I’m a fan of these two Filipino big stars that’s why I really marked it in my calendar so I won't miss it.

Ogie, 43, and Regine, 40, tied the knot last December 22 at The Peak, Terrazas de Punta Fuego Resort, Nasugbu, Batangas - a perfect place for the couple who have waited a long time to share a lifetime together.  As you know they went through a lot of intrigues not to mention Ogie was already married. But what matters most is that they have conquered it all and we admire them for that.

Regine and Ogie's Wedding, Nice Print Photo

And just like everyone who graced the event and watched this TV special of GMA-7, I also cried. I just can't help it. My tears won't stop flowing especially on the part where Regine recited her wedding vow. If you haven't seen it, check out video below. It is made by Nice Print Photography, an international destination wedding photographer. It's the same team who captured all the wedding photos you'll see in this post also.

Wish Granted: Basic Make-up Workshop at True Scents and Minerals

by , in
I wrote about wishing to attend a Basic Make-up Workshop and weeks after it, Ria Jose posted a Facebook message asking who wants to attend a make-up workshop. And I was like, OMG! This is it! I've been looking for an opportunity to attend a make-up workshop and the timing was just so perfect. So last January 16, together with my two blogger friends (Kathy and Darlyn) we attended the make-up workshop courtesy of  True Scents and Minerals at 2nd floor of Legaspi Suites. Ms. Bunny Sy, the owner itself was the one who taught us which made the experience even more intimate and exciting.

But before we began the make-up session, she first find the right undertone for our skin.  For me, it was latte since I am morena. When we've finally started, she reminded us that we will not be learning anything from her unless we don't apply or practice putting a make-up on our own. The workshop would be useless if we won't practice. (Tama nga naman talaga)

My New Year's Resolution

by , in
Here are my New Year's Resolution. I will just focus on these 3 things for this year.

1. Save 20% of my salary per month - Last year, I didn't save much so when something happened - I ended up having lots of debts.

But before I can save 20% of my salary per month, I need to settle my debts first. There are still some outstanding not to mention the bill that I have to pay for my stolen phone. It has a one year contract that's why I have no choice but to pay. I have not been using the service for 3 months now and I have to pay up to April plus the expenses the thief had incurred before I was able to block the outgoing calls and text messages. :(

Globe Tattoo SuperStick, SuperStick
2. Blog a day – My blogs are not updated, most of them are dormant for months now. So for this year, I’ll do my very best to blog everyday. I will just make use of scheduled blog post feature so it will be updated daily. As you know, my net connection is just terrible. If I get extra funds, I'll buy Globe Tattoo SuperStick as my back-up connection. I learned that it is the newest offering from Tattoo Broadband and it  is faster than any sticks out there - in fact, up to 3mbps. And having it will definitely be a huge help for my work which is always done online.

3. Do best with my work – the most important of all. I need to improve and get out of my comfort zone.

Online Degree

by , in
After graduating from college, there are four things that fresh graduates usually do. There are those who find and get a job right away, there are those who take some time off by having vacation, after long years of studying. And there are also those who don’t get tired of studying by getting another degree and lastly, there are those who get married right away. In which do you belong?

But whatever happened to you, I’d like to emphasize that we should not get tired of learning and studying. If you end up being a single mom, got busy taking good care of your children and really want to study or finish school – there are sites that offer getting a degree. One good example is EarnMyDegree.com where the schools you can find are fully accredited and they don't do the so-called "diploma mills" offering worthless certificates for a few dollar.
I know you can still manage this because you can just do it at the comfort of your home.

So if you are thinking of studying for an online degree to improve your market value or boost one's self confidence or just for your own interest and satisfaction, visit the site now. If other working professionals can do it, why not you? In fact, they take time to go to school during weekends just to get a master's degree.

What I want to have this 2011

by , in
A vehicle is what I want to have this 2011. As you have known, our new house is already located far from the city and having our own vehicle would really be a huge help. Not to mention the monthly check-up of my brother and father, grocery, malling, paying bills, marketing and other transactions that we can only do in the city.

But based on the salary that I am earning and with all the bills and other expenses that needs to be paid, I can't afford to buy a brand new car by cash. Although it is what I hope, wish and dream but I will just have to settle in selecting used cars for now so we can at least save on the transportation expense.
Ayos Dito, used cars
I've Googled marketplace sites in the Philippines and AyosDito.ph is what I find interesting. It's design is simple but what I love the most is the easy navigation and searching of products. That's why I immediately find the multicab which I love to have  today. But funds are not yet ready so I just hope I can find a good deal in this site when that right time comes.

Davao Lady Bloggers

Davao Lady Bloggers

It's the last day of 2010 and it's 11 more hours to go guys. Wooohoooo! I just can't wait!

I hope and wish a Prosperous New Year to all of you my dear readers. Stay safe and be careful with firecrackers. Thank you for constantly visiting my emo blog site. I hope you enjoyed and learned a lot from my blog posts also. I know I'm not that good but I promise, I will continue to improve my writing.

But before the New Year comes, let me just take this opportunity to be thankful also for being part of this girl group - Davao Lady Bloggers. This year, I became a member and have joined their visit to Davao TLCShop. I've been wanting to join a group like this because I really want to learn more about beauty, fashion, cosmetology, health spa and other things a lady do.

Honestly, up to know – I still don’t know how to put make-up. I don't know what lipstick to use with the kind of lips I have. And I only use pony tail for my curly hair and a white powder for my face/cheeks. When going out, the usual get-up - jeans, rubber shoes and a shirt. Simple as that. And  take note, I've never been to any spa. (LOL!)
