FOX TVpocalypse

Three hit shows premiered FOX Asia last October 19. Aptly titled TVpocalypse - or the complete and final destruction of the world (Thank goodness only in TV land!) – these shows have taken the Philippines, and most probably all of Asia by storm.

First on the list is the much awaited fourth season of ‘The Walking Dead’. After the season three finale which holds the promise of a new prison, fans await breathlessly what becomes of the Woodbury people. Season four also introduces new and interesting characters Abraham Ford, Eugene Porter, Rosita Espinosa and Bob Stookey.

Shortly on the heels of the TWD, as the Walking Dead is fondly called, is a new Marvel franchise, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or AOS. (Incidentally, S.H.I.E.L.D means, Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division – quite a mouthful!) Borrowing much of its fame from the Avenger film and set after Loki’s mischievious endeavors, AOS is led by on TV BY dear, old, reliable Phil Coulson. The same Coulson who worshipped the ground Captain America walked on. Apparently, he survived his ‘death’ from the film. Nick Fury still manages the team, albeit Samuel Jackson who played the role in the cinema, only appears in cameos.

Last on triple treat – or threat – based on your point of view, is the modern day take on the classic literary masterpiece by Washington Irving - Sleepy Hollow. Originally set in the late 1700s, this show deals with the resurrection of the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane. One’s fate is tied to the other due to an accidental mix in their blood, in their last throes of life. FOX TVpocalypse ensures, at the least that your Saturdays will now be anything BUT laid back. As they say, awesome starts at 8:55pm – the time when TWD starts, then 9:50pm for AOS and finally, sealing the night at 10:45 with Sleepy Hollow. FOX Asia is Channel 50 on Skycable.
