From the same company that brought you Shrek, Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, comes another movie that talks about life and the pursuit of dreams -Turbo. Turbo is a jam packed action movie about an unlikely hero - a snail who dreams of life in the fast lane.
Turbo is a snail with a dream – a dream to win the Indy 500 – a fast paced race for cars. As fate would have it, one day, he gets a chance of a lifetime when a freak accident happens and alters his molecular structure. On the road to chasing his dream, he meets and makes friends with other snails - stereotype busters like him.
Audiences everywhere are bound to be enamored with this new animated treat. It has something for everyone – a fast paced action story, a lesson to pursue dreams and never give up, loads of humorous quips and repartees and lots of memorable witty lines. Not only does it have all these, DreamWorks boasts of a stellar voice cast as well. Ryan Reynolds leads the cast as the titular character, Turbo, followed by Paul Giamatti as Chet, Samuel L. Jackson (who is uncharacteristically soft spoken here) as Whiplash, singer, songwriter and rapper Snoop Dogg as S to the M to the double O , V, E!, ‘Bridesmaids’and hilarious SNL actress Maya Rudolph, ‘Hangover’s’ Ken Jeong and ‘Fast and Furious’ Michelle Rodriguez.
‘Turbo’ speeds into theaters everywhere on July 19.
