I saw the van of GMA-7 few hours ago when I was in the market. I believe they are going to different places here in Davao just to promote the show, and in the van was the huge poster of "Babangon ako't dudurugin kita". Hmmnnn...what a title! ( full of revenge! - very bad)
I was just an elementary student when I first saw the movie. I've got a huge crush with Bembol Roco that time because of this movie. I was so amazed with the way he act and of course I like his character. He was the savior of Sharon Cuneta remember?
I am not really a fan of Filipino movies but this one is different. I could say that this is one of the best Filipino movies the local film industry has produced. (Charuz! but I am not kidding) Hats off to Lino Brocka and the original cast and characters namely Sharon Cuneta, Bembol Roco, Christopher de Leon and Hilda Koronel of course. (Grabe, mga veterans!)
Anyways, I don't know what will be the result of the remake of this movie. Yasmien Kurdi, JC de Vera, Marvin Agustin and Angelika dela Cruz are among the lead roles. GMA-7's remake of Babangon ako't dudurugin kita is directed by Joel Lamangan. The cast are good enough but I don't know if they could really equate the amazing performance of the original cast. Ganbatte!
